Name-Inga, the Paleo Horse Gender-Mare Species- Norwegian Fjord, Przewalski's Horse cross Max picture rating-PG-13 (no blood, no gore, and no porn please) Anthro/Normal/Were (Specify character type)-Either is fine, I’ve never drawn her as an anthro but that would be cool! Eye Colour- Dark Brown, soulful Mane and Tail (Colour, length, type, etc.)-Her mane is upright, fluffy, and commonly has braids. Her tail is long and flowing. The mane starts out light cream at the base and is a darker brown at the tips, this extends down her back in a dorsal stripe to her tail. Physical Description- She’s a robust, stocky little mare, about 15 hands tall. Her neck is thick and cresty. Her coloration is dun, a reddish orange ochre that fades to a light yellow ochre, almost cream colored underbelly. She has a dark brown dorsal stripe, and dark brown lower legs with some striping visible (grulla.) She has light feathering on her fetlocks. She can be drawn quite bushy if liked, as she can tend get very fuzzy in the cold winter months. Accessories (Clothing, tack, jewelry, etc.)- Her tack is especially designed for her. Her saddle is carved from bone. She has no reins. Horses that hale from Edensphere don't use them. Bone saddles like this were made during the middle ages in Europe, bone plaques were used to create the saddle, probably from the pelvic bones of large animals such as cows, and were attached to the core with bone pins and glue, so it wasn't just one large entire bone. Some nifty pictures of medieval bone saddles: Link 1, Link 2 People have had questions about the lack of reins as well, Inga is a horse from Edensphere (the world my comic takes place in) and in that place the horses are sentient, any rider they would have would be an invited guest, a partner, not a master. Thus no reins. Bridles are still worn though, primarily for adornment reasons. I drew her tack quite ornately, but it can vary and doesn’t of course have to be exactly as I drew it. If drawing her with tack, it’s important that she have no bit on her bridle and no reins. Otherwise I’d love to see different designs on her and I’m open to variation. Personality- Inga is a very gentle, steadfast mare. She’s not fast but she’s strong and has good endurance. Inga is of the Horse People a race of sentient horses from Edensphere. The comic can be found here: Environment: Inga is from EdenSphere, a land with all sorts of Paleolithic as well as modern creatures so she could be drawn with a saber toothed tiger, woolly mammoth, of even a dinosaur!
